Children's Ministry

Children are truly a gift from God and Central Baptist Church provides many opportunities for children to be taught God's word. Please take this opportunity to check out these ministries so your children and family can benefit from all that is offered. It is our number one goal to reach every child with Gospel of Jesus Christ so that he/she will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus and accept Him as Lord and Savior.

Nursery

We believe your child is a special gift from God – so we want to provide the best love and care possible. Our goal is to minister to families and ensure that every child and parent who comes to our Preschool Department sees and experiences the love of God.

We provide loving care and teaching in a clean, safe and well staffed nursery during all services. Each child is registered and returned only to the one who registered the child.  Parents or guardians can be notified during services if they are needed in the nursery during the worship service.

We hope that you feel confident that your little one will receive loving care while learning about Jesus. We hope that you as parents will also see the seed that is being planted in your child and work with us to help develop and foster a desire to be more like Jesus.

What is AWANA?

AWANA is a program designed to help develop spiritually strong children and youth. Metting weekly, AWANA helps foster relationships between leaders and children with the hopes of further discipleship through God's Word and Christ's love.

When does AWANA meet?

Awana meets every Sunday @ 5:30 p.m.

What Does the Word AWANA Mean?

"AWANA" is an acronym for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed."  It is taken from 2 Timothy 2"15, which states, be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

What Do Kids Do At AWANA?

The club meeting, which is from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. on Sunday nights, is divided into three segments: game time, handbook time, and council time.

Playing games on a unigue AWANA game circle, kids have fun, get exercise, and learn good sportsmanship.

During handbook time, clebbers progress through age-appropriate handbooks by memorizing and demonstrating an understanding of the Bible passages.

The main feature of council time is a Bible lesson, but it also includes recognition of achievement and presentation of awards.
