The worship ministries of Central Baptist Church involve many men, women and children striving to use their God given gifts to bring Christ the glory due His Name.  They love the Lord and share that testimony by singing, playing instruments and acting.

Serving in the music ministry is a wonderful way to:

• Glorify God
• Grow in Christ and inspire others to do the same
• Discover abilities and hone skills
• Develop friendships
• Participate in God’s work at Central Baptist Church

Adult Choir
Our adult choir is the primary worship-leading choir.  The choir sings most every Sunday morning and plays a key role in special events throughout the year.  It is the entry/starting point for most adults desiring to serve in the music ministry.  All soloists and smaller vocal groups are derived from the adult choir.

• All talent/skill levels are welcome to participate.
• No prior experience and no audition required.
• A commitment to faithful participation in rehearsal, weekend services, and special events is expected.

Rehearsal: Sundays 5:30-7:15

Instruments of Praise

Instruments of Praise is the instrumental group that leads the weekly Sunday morning services.  If you play an instrument and would like to be a part of this group, please contact Bro. Wason.

Children’s Choir

We have a graded choir program from 4 years to 6th grade.  The children have a great time as they learn music and grow spiritually.  Children’s choirs meet Wednesday at 6:00pm. (click for more)

Young at Heart Ministry Goals

• To encourage senior adults to realize thier part in the effective ministry of CBC.
• To promote the self-esteem and self-worth of our senior adults.
• To encourage fellowship amoung our seniors.
• To provide educational and entertaining programs and outings to enrich the lives of Young at Heart Members.

Annual Special Events

Each year we gladly support various special recreation events such as:

• “Run For Your Life” 5K run
• “Bynum/Gunter” Golf Tournament

Seasonal Sport

• Men’s Basketball
• Men’s and Ladies Softball
• Men’s and ladies Volleyball

Upward Sports, the world’s largest Christian sports program for children, was created with a vision to provide the best sports experience possible for every child.  Each year some 1 million people around the world play, coach, referee, or volunteer in Upward Sports leagues and camps hosted by more than 2,600 churches.

Anyone – children and volunteers of any faith or no faith can participate in Upward Sports.

Specifically designed for children in K5 through 7th grade, Upward Sporst aims to bring out “the winner” in every child, regardless of the game’s score.

Central Baptist Church has a fantastic library to meet your Christian reading needs.  The library is located in Room 204-A in the Main Building.  We are open on Sunday mornings from 9:15 until 11:00.  You will find Christian fiction and non-fiction for adults as well as youth and juvenile.  We also have a small, but growing, collection of Christian juvenile DVD’s.
