Youth Ministry

CBC’s goal is to reach young people for Christ through love, understanding, fellowship and instruction based upon God’s Word. The Youth meet every Sunday at 9:45 am and 5:30 pm for bible Fellowship and bible Study. Wednesday nights the Youth meet at 6:00 pm for Discipleship Training.

Singles Ministry / College and Career

CBC offers Bible study classes dedicated to the teaching and equipping of Single Adults of all ages. These classes are designed to meet the needs of the single person through Christian fellowship and instruction.

Adult Ministry

CBC has various adult ministries for the purpose of nurturing and developing men and women into the likeness of Christ. Through Bible study, music, fellowship, mission trips and other activities, adults grow in their walk with Christ and others.

Bible Fellowship

Bible Study is a vital part of the ministry of CBC. Every Sunday at 9:45 am, we have small Bible study groups for all ages. Bible study is for personal growth, assimilation, evangelism, and fellowship. Discipleship Training begins at 6:00 pm each Wednesday. Various classes are offered to help Christians grow in their relationship with Christ.

Overview

The worship ministries of Central Baptist Church involve many men, women and children striving to use their God given gifts to bring Christ the glory due His Name. They love the Lord and share that testimony by singing, playing instruments and acting.

Serving in the music ministry is a wonderful way to:

Glorify God
Grow in Christ and inspire others to do the same
Discover abilities and hone skills
Develop friendships
Participate in God’s work at Central Baptist Church

Adult Choir
Our adult choir is the primary worship-leading choir. The choir sings most every Sunday morning and plays a key role in special events throughout the year. It is the entry/starting point for most adults desiring to serve in the music ministry. All soloists and smaller vocal groups are derived from the adult choir.

All talent/skill levels are welcome to participate.
No prior experience and no audition required.
A commitment to faithful participation in rehearsal, weekend services, and special events is expected.

Rehearsal: Sundays 5:30-7:15

If you are interested in being a part of the Adult Choir please contact Bro. Wason or simply join us for rehearsal this Sunday.

Children’s Choir

We have a graded choir program from 4 years to 6th grade. The children have a great time as they learn music and grow spiritually. Children’s choirs meet Wednesday at 6:00pm. (click for more)

Seniors / Young at Heart

The older adult is valued at Central Baptist Church. Our senior program “Young at Heart” recognizes and gives opportunity to continuous use of their talents and appreciates the time they give to further enhance the programs of our church. We have a monthly luncheon with a guest speaker to keep us aware of current events. We also have a monthly “outing”; visiting various places of interest. As a part of our ministry, we reach out to those in need.

“Bynum/Gunter” Golf Tournament

Upward Sports, the world’s largest Christian sports program for children, was created with a vision to provide the best sports experience possible for every child. Each year some 1 million people around the world play, coach, referee, or volunteer in Upward Sports leagues and camps hosted by more than 2,600 churches.

Anyone – children and volunteers of any faith or no faith can participate in Upward Sports.

Specifically designed for children in K5 through 7th grade, Upward Sporst aims to bring out “the winner” in every child, regardless of the game’s score.

Come join us as we prepare for

“The Amazing Grace Race.”

All children ages 4 – 6th grade are invited to join us as we prepare for our spring musical.

Rehearsals are at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday evenings.

The musical will be presented Sunday, April 29, at 7:00 p.m.
